Study: Women Prefer Chefs Over Lovers
According to a new survey, women prefer their husbands to cook them dinner rather than have sex with them—at least in Australia.
Emperica Research surveyed 1,000 Australians and found that more than half of the women polled chose food over sex. And these women must be really hungry, because 9 in 10 said they’d rather have their husband cook them a meal than give them flowers.
Maybe these ladies just have husbands that are really good cooks. Because I love my man and all, but…let’s just say, I’d rather have flowers.
The survey also found that 77 percent of women are “very impressed” by a man who knows how to cook. So guys, it looks like it pays more to be hands-on in the kitchen than it does in the bedroom.
And when the survey asked women what their partners could do around the house to help more, cooking dinner once again popped up, along with cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming and mopping. In fact, the survey said these women preferred their men to tackle the aforementioned tasks over more “manly” tasks. I’m not 100 percent sure what exactly “manly” means here, but I assume it’s something like, breaking down a wall with a sledgehammer and then crushing a beer can on your head?
Conversely, two-thirds of married men preferred a partner who was good in the sack rather than good in the kitchen. And you thought the way to a man’s heart was through his stomach. Sure, if you’re pole dancing while you’re feeding him.
The survey was sponsored by DinnerHero, a home food delivery service. The co-founder, Michael Thorn, says he lives by the following motto: "happy wife, happy life.”
Despite that, he says he only cooks for his wife once a week. But hey, that’s higher than average for a lot of couples.
…We’re still talking about cooking, right?
